What's good everyone? I hope all is well. I got caught up in some bullshit again with the police. That's the second time in a year. I had a case in the county of Kings pending my behavior was good for 6 months and now it may be reopened cause of what happened in NYC. I can't really speak on things, but if you check out my vids and listen to my music, you will know what it is. I get it in. I'm a FATHER, FIANCE, BUSINESS OWNER, and a HUSTLER in every sense of the word. My story is real and because of that I hope you get a genuine with who I am and what I been through. The KING OF NEW TALK project is my best piece of work thus far. It chronicles my life upclose in addition to adding something to this culture we call HIPHOP. Embrace it, and lemme know your thoughts. Chaneblog: Something to Talk About
What's good everyone. Yea we in the midst of dropping that KING OF NEW TALK MIXYAPE. Pure fiyah, you already. Leading off that journey is the first LEAK track called "Something To Talk About". I was inspired to reference this song because of my mother, may she rest in peace. I recall this was one of her favorite records by Bonnie Rait. I thought about the statement the record made as well. And in reality, you have to give the people "something to talk about" to get noticed. You got to put the right words or have that catchy hook to get the attention of the listener. So what better way to capture that moment than by writing a song about it. Works for me! New talk is crazy. Just imagine Hd in wax. Pictures, referencing old and new situation, catch phrases, real hip hop shit. Going back to when niggas made you rewind to catch what he was saying. And at the same time, the tracks are crazy. Big ups to Mannie the Don for producing the album and also Po for overseeing marketing and promotion. So yea I hope you enjoy, feedback is appreciated and utilized. Be safe, and be well. UNO!

Chaneblog: One Day At A Time
What's good? This blog is about life and being healthy in general. On a whole we take things for granted everyday from our partners to being able to have food to eat. Being alive another day is a blessing, and think to yourself, how often do you celebrate it. I recently suffered a mild stroke. Didn't even know I had it. But what I can tell you it provided a much needed wake up call for me. I didn't have to survive and be here to tell about it. I am truly blessed. Its not about age. Its about stress and the things we stress really. Some things are beyond our control. When we make them an issue in our own lives, stress begins to play a major factor. I walk a lot slower now. I have been doing a lot of self analysis as well. People perceive me as always being on th go, hustling and that very much is me. However, I realized I have to slow down. My son isn't even 3 yrs old yet. I have to be for him if anyone because he is the future. He carries on my legacy. And tt really means a lot to me. Until the next time, yall be safe and well!KING!

Chaneblog: Mixtapes
What's good everyone, I hope all is well. This blog is about what miixtapes can do for an artist. Besides get you signed, a mixtape also helps gets the creative juices flowing. I have gotten a ton of ideas just being recording my own mixtapes. Not to mention it allows you to use yer voice more and experiement with different cadences which give the track more personality. It also allows for freedom as far as subject matter and song selection as well. It actually helps cultivate your artistry. When I record I flip the instrumental into a whole new song as well. I am going to release a bunch as the ideas keep coming to be on the look out for those. Uno!

Chaneblog: Going In
Yea the KING OF NEW TALK Mixtape is being finalized now. Just tightening up the arrangements and tieing up any loose ends as well. This should be fun yall. The tracks are to popular trax of today, however, it is not without a few suprises either. Also the sixteens are crazy and the songs are even crazier. Yea that's right brand new songs on someone elses track. Yea, that's how we get down. So even though you get a bit of the olda, you still get something new. And that's what I'm all about doing things differently and being unconventional. There will be others and the whole project will called ALL HAIL THE KING!!!! I also got some shows poppin off in NYC and may even be performing at the Bikefest in South Carolina if things pan out. Put on ya track shoes and prepare yourself for a good run. Chaneblog: Balance
What's good everyone, this blog is going to be about balance. Many times I have been accused of wearing too many hats. Taking on too many responsibilities. So on my latest campaign, I decided to do things a bit differently. I will be recording myself as far as my mixtape is concerned. It was most likely be mixed by my producer Mannie the Don. Its going to be called THE KING OF NEW TALK. We will have youtube vid prmotion for it, in addition to the services of some web promoters marketing as well. Should be fun. I have an intern on the case as far as shows and I also enlisted a promoter who will make sure that people come out to see me perform as well. Have to use all the irons in the fire this time around. I also have a few start up internet businesses I'm involved in as well as a DVD release coming, with a different angle. Look for that as well. At some point we all must decide what we wanna do with our careers and how to make things happen as well. Its creating your destiny and securing a future for yourself and family if you have any. I myself have a fiance and a 2.5 year old, so you know business must get handled correctly. Also I'm trying to create a buzz around these records so the mixtape will have unsigned featured RNB singers and emcees as well. I will also be pulling a track or two for a lead and follow up single. The whole mixtape run will be titled ALL HAIL THE KING.Check me out:

Chaneblog: New Talk
New Talk is upon you. Yea and Im the King of New Talk as well. New Talk is all about pictures and vivid imagery expressed thru song. Of course you will have to hear to really grasp it but its new and fresh and takes lyricism to the next level a bit. The trax are more for the streets as well and there will be a series of mixtapes including youtube videos to support each one as well. Im excited about this project and if you are a hiphop purist as well as jus a hiphop fan period, you will be thoroughly entertained by my efforts. So...yea...thats something to look foward to. Chaneblog: Not On The Same Page
Whats good yall, this blog is about getting a team in order to get things poppin and get that buzz generated. Right now , my team is only about five people who range from graphic artists to website and media owners. Only one of them besides me is an artist-who shall remain nameless right now, and myself. Another one is producer, Mannie the Don, check him on FB and myspace as well-www.myspace.com/manefestmusic.com. I tried to take on other members but things didnt work out. It is important to have people pn yer team that are on the same page. When someones thinking outside of the box of the team, the focus isnt there in order to initiate business. Its better to have a smaller team than no team at all. Strength is in numbers by far but Attila the Hun was four feet tall and was a dictator as well. So it can be done if not better with a small number. As time goes on and business gets better, of course team members are taken whether it be for advertising, graphic design, or music , they will be carefully evaluated and whats best for the business at the time will get done. Just a word from the wise and I dont know it all. I learn something new everyday and thats a blessing. Lata!

Chaneblog: Back Like I Never Left
Whats good people. I been under the radar and staying low but I have resurfaced with a whole new perspective on freedom. Yeah I got into a situation with the law and because I really didnt have any sizeable record the case got dismissed and the charge greatly reduced.I was even suprised. I do what I do, that I cannot deny but the ability to go home felt wonderful. One of my homies is locked right now cause of some bullshit. You can join the group on facebook cakked FREE BISCUIT and you will get the 411 on that! But yea the pulic lawyer motioned for a CONTEMPLATION OF DISMISSAL and it actually worked. I got a mixtape coming called CASE DISMISSED too, look for that. But been recording heavily in the crib, getting my mixtapegame poppin and trax are coming out very well I might add. Also got a few joints coming out with Po doing the hosting, you already know. Just trying to stay busy and relevant at the same time man really. I also acquired a legal gig which is very important in the grand scheme of things. Famils good, bills are paid, that good is iit, and I cant complain.

Chaneblog: New Style
What's good everyone? This blog is about what's to come. A new year is about to upon on us, and that means what we did the year before, can't be done again. Its time to grind even harder. For me, that means more studio time. And yeah I finally pieced together my own set up to record all my mixtapes myself. And it also means being a better father and a fiance as well. All those things will make me a better person in general, and at the end of the day, that's what its all about for me. Everything else will fall in place God willing. The Earthquake single will be digitally distributed by Island/Def Jam in January 2010, so that's definitely a good look. In addition to that, I will also be releasing three albums in 2010 as well in addition to the mixtapes I didn't get a chance to complete this year as well. So Po you already know, I got u homie!!!! So yeah I'm starting things off with a bang. I also have a track that will be accompanied with a video and I'm sure that will stir things up a bit as well. Chaneblog: No more Mr. Nice Guy
What's good everyone? I hope all is well. This blog is about the direction I'm heading in with my music. My material is always conscience based which I am very proud of because I believe you must say something important when given this huge platform to express yourself. I am about to release some material that will most likely stir up some controversely in addition to make some heads take notice. Hiphop started out based on competition. The media and sensationalists have turned that into "beef", and have huge amounts of money off of it. There is nothing wrong with a lil friendly fire. It keeps you on top of your game and sharpens your skills as well. Some people are going to be tite......lol. My roots started off as a battle rapper n e wayz. I can make a pop record and that's only a record that's popular. You have know the business in order to be able to navigate thru it successfully and make profit. Chaneblog: Obstacles
What's good? I hope all is well with everyone. Right now I'm about to embark on a recording frenzy after a good hiatus. Luckily I was able to do videos to keep visible to my supporters and the industry as well. Still playing the waiting game with the labels but nevertheless, I'm still on my grind ya know. My manager told me obstacles are the steps opportunity and I really listened to those words and I live by them. He's exactly right. Eventually the hard work and effort I put into doing music will pay off. Imma keep grinding, doing me ya know. A lot of times it seems like there is a dark cloud over my head, but the sun always shines at the nd of the day. Positive thinking and surrounding myself with the right folks has helped me get thru what seemed like some impoosible missions. My family is doing great and I have my health and strength and that alone is a blessing from God. I know I will be successfull as long as I keep my eyes on the prize. You should do the same. When you fall into a depressed state about whatever your particuar issues may be, it takes away from yer focus and goals. We will have bad days, but the key is making sure you have more good than bad. We may make some mistakes, we just try not to make a hundred of them ya know. Chaneblog: Hate
What's good everyone? I hope all is well. This blog is dedicated to the haters. I have gotten pretty far in regards to getting my music noticed, and its showing now I am starting to people I grew up with hating. One would think it would be the opposite and have people who don't know you hating, but life can be funny like that. Hate is an emotion that is fueled by lack of ambition towards acheiving your own goals, no matter big or small they may be. However, on the reverse of that, it also increases the momentum of those you are hating on. Its the cousin of ENVY, somebody told me and they're right. They wish they could be in your shoes. And you know what, they could. However, instead of moving foward, they rather hate on you. My new moniker is L.Chanes-the KING of NEW TALK. And my new talk word of the day is H-ING. Chaneblog: Reinventing Yourself
What's good everyone? I hope all is well. This blog is about staying ahead of the game, so you never have to play catch up. A lot of dudes in my hood say that I sound younger than I am. My age really is irrelevant because its just a number really. But basically its about listening to what's going on and putting your own twist on things creating a new way to look at things. A different perspective kinda. Don't get me wrong, I do listen to the radio from time to time just to get the climate of what's going on now. That's keeping up with the times. Also I isolate myself when I write to keep things fresh as well. Its about reinventing yourself. Sometimes that can kill you though, if what you started was based on a gimmick. Take for instance Nelly. He came at KRS-ONE sideways and his last project did virtually nothing. KRS-One is on several projects including his own as well as a collaborative effort with BuckShot. Biggup Brooklyn! He never started out as a gimmicky emcee and he has proved that he will be here for a long while. He's an emcee and not to mention a noted public speaker that gets good money for talking to students in college as well. Nelly tried to switch up the flow and do songs with Fergie and things didn't pan out. Nelly is by far wealthy, but nothing beats selling more records, the roar of the crowd, and also being well noted for what you do. We all know Nelly is no KRS-ONE, but he is a businessman. He has capitalized off of the Apple Bottoms clothing line, and even became a model for Sean John clothing. So in that right he did reinvent himself my making his body an asset that can be capitalized off of as well. I plan on making records that are diverse with as many artists as I can without compromising who I am. I am the new wave artist that will be combining a lil of the new, with a lil bit of what's been done before. A mesh of this music we all love called HipHop. Until next time people. Chaneblog: Technical Difficulties
What's good everyone? I hope all is well! I have been having some technical difficulties lately, but things are back on track. I misplaced my phone. My blackberry as a matter of fact. I'm sorry to say that the phone is my lifeline, but it is. I lost all my contacts, thank God my information was backed up cause you never know. So I advise everyone to do that if you have that option. I been working on some new video concepts as well and very shortly I will be back in the lab finishing up several tapes before the new year is upon us. ChaneBlog: Paying Dues/Quality Time
What's good everyone. I hope all is well. I been grinding, you already. Got a few projects on hold because my producer has to get his system upgraded. But still been actively spitting in the hood and networking in NYC. I'm still paying dues basically. And you never actually stop if " sky is the limit" is your motto. You already.... So I still got three more mixtapes coming. They are tentatively titled Radio Ready, Futurama, Channed Down. You never know though, things change so quickly. What's good people? I hope all is well. It seems like I haven't blogged in ages. I been taking it easy. Made some moves. Transitioned to another job. Mended my relationship with my fiancé and even began being just more communicative in general. Still unrest lies in my mental. My homeboy is going to jail for 9 years and he leaves on Monday, September 20th. I can't discuss his case, but let's say its crazy. They called a crime of passion and no female got injured, let's just say. Also my fiancé had a hernia removed. Ouch, I know. Pain like hell and no real appetite as well. I been doing the best I can in addition to having some heart to heart talks with her in regards to us and life in general. I learned a lot that I didn't know even we been a couple for six years now. Great stuff! Quality time is important, no matter how you fit into your own schedule. Take it from me. I should know. Be well and safe also. Lata!

ChaneBlog: Free Promotion
What's good people? I hope all is well. By now you know that marketing and promotion is the key to a successful anything. Well in addition to using avenues such as the internet, word of mouth, advertising, free promotion is also great! Years ago I was doing print ad work just to pay bills. And since the end of 08 and in 09 these ads have been poppin up all over the place. I have been in ads for Verizon, Bank of America, and most recently I was spotted in an ad for Con Edison. Pretty reputable companies too! Its a great look and the attention it has caused is kinda cool. I was recognized by people on the train while the ads have been plastered all over the very train I was on. Also, I received quite a few myspace friend requests as well. You never know when things will come to pass. So its really good to embrace new opportunities that may come yer way. My management team is working on endorsements as well, so keep ya fingers crossed. Lol, wish me luck if you believe in it. Cam'ron once said "The best nation is do-nation" and I feel the best promotion is free promotion. Lata ya'll!

ChaneBlog: Curve Balls
What's good everyone? I hope all is well. You know at this point, my music is getting recognized more and things are good. But not all good. Life is definitely throwing me curveballs right now, and its hard to get my A-Rod on, but I have to. At the moment, I'm having issues w/ fiance of six years and we have a son who will be two on Monday. I'm there for my child and I would have it no other way. I'm trying to do what's right, and does that mean compromising happiness. Also a friend of mines who I have known all my life is facing 10 years in prison and is leaving to do his time on Sept 22nd. What he did is irrelevant at this point and I let him know how I feel about it. It is what it is now! I hang out with him as much as I can in n effort to hold onto the great memories we've had over the years. He will get out God willing and everything will be good. But man I hate to see this happen to such a close friend. Lastly, my place of employment at the moment. I won't say the name, but let's just says its a major Telecommunications company is wearing on me. The schedule us grueling and the pay is ehh. Its pays the bills. My music was taking a backseat, but I got back into the full swing of things by doing some many videos and the mixtape lineup coming is crazy!!!! I am not an artist afraid to tell you what's going on. Music is the platform. These occurrences will most likely become songs....Lol. Until next time, lata! And be good.
